MCX Evening Update: Gold gains, Silver up around 2.20%

MCX Gold futures are trading in an upbeat manner today. The benchmark Aug-26 contract soared 1% at Rs 142715 per 10 grams. The counter hit Rs 143K per 10 grams in intraday moves. The counter has been almost unchanged over last one-week. The open interest in the counter slipped marginally today.

Silver is also up 2.20% at Rs 223233 per kg. The open interest in the counter dipped by around 4% today.

In global equities, futures tracking US equity indices were higher on Tuesday as risk appetite largely stayed positive. The Dow futures rose around half a percent. In Europe, DAX and CAC rose around half a percent.
