Economic Buzz: China retail sales up 1% in June

Retail sales in China returned to growth in June, rising 1.0% year-on-year, according to Wednesday's report from the country's National Bureau of Statistics.

Retail sales of goods were up by 1.1% year-on-year, with catering increasing by 2.8%; In the first six months, the retail sales of services grew by 5.3% on a yearly basis.

In June, the total retail sales of consumer goods grew by 0.38% compared with that of the previous month.
