Copper holding steady, MCX futures linger around Rs 1300 per kg

COMEX Copper futures are holding steady today amid a slightly lax undertone in the US dollar though worries over geopolitical stress are weighing on equities. In Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index lost 2%, giving up gains in last session. The index tested lowest in three and half months. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index added 0.16%. Japan?s Nikkei average tanked 1.90%. European stocks are witnessing mixed action today amid lack of major economic cues. The US stocks edged higher in last session. The S&P 500 gained 0.4% and closed out its fourth winning week in the last five. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.3%, and the Nasdaq composite climbed 0.3%. COMEX Copper futures are quoting at $6.30 per pound, up 0.30% on the day. The metal is hovering anear three-week high, building onto recent gains. It edged up more than 2% in the last week. MCX Copper futures are up 0.41% at Rs 1298.95 per kg.
