Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions see minor gain

Precious metals speculators added to their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 28015 contracts in the data reported through July 7, 2026. This was a weekly uptick of 647 net contracts and kept them at six-month high.
