Copper futures edged up to two-week high in volatile trades today. The metal is currently trading flat $6.26 on modest weakness in the US dollar. In Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index rose 1.70% while Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index slipped 0.70%. Japan?s Nikkei average added 1.40%. European stocks edged up marginally. The US stocks recovered in last session with gains led by AI chipmakers, while oil prices retreated as investors weighed the Iran conflict. Falling Treasury yields also supported markets despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainty. MCX Copper is trading almost unchanged at Rs 1292.25 per kg after hitting above Rs 1300 per kg in initial moves. The counter has turned lower throughout the session today.
