MCX Afternoon Update: Base metals choppy, Aluminium spikes on supply worries

Base metals saw choppy moves today. MCX Copper futures for July are trading at Rs 1260.50 per kg, down 1.20% on the day. The metal fell near Rs 1260 per kg in intraday moves. MCX Aluminum futures spiked 1.70% to trade at Rs 338.80 per kg on fresh supply worries due to Middle-East escalation. MCX Zinc futures are down 0.08% at Rs 368.80 per kg. MCX Lead futures added 0.15% to trade at Rs 198.50 per kg. MCX Nickel futures edged up 0.20% to trade at Rs 1570.50 per kg.
