Commodities Buzz: Copper net speculative longs hit six-month high

Precious metals speculators sharply increased their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 27368 contracts in the data reported through June 30, 2026. This was a weekly rise of 3617 net contracts and pulled them to six-month high.
