Commodities Buzz: Gold net speculative long positions hit six-month high

Precious metals speculators continued to hike their net long position in the Gold futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Gold futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totalled a net position of 194019 contracts in the data reported through June 30, 2026, rising by 12680 contracts from the previous week. The net longs have hit around six-month high now.
