MCX Evening Update: Gold choppy, overall mood volatile ahead of nonfarm data

MCX Gold futures are currently trading flat at Rs 144480 per 10 grams. The counter witnessed heavy volatility during the session with highs around Rs 144800-144700 per 10 grams capping upside. Earlier in the session, the metal had tanked near a low of Rs 143800 per 10 grams. COMEX Gold is flat around $4080 per ounce as markets are waiting for the release of US nonfarm payrolls data. MCX Silver is up 0.46% at Rs 231444 per kg.
