Economic Buzz: US private payrolls up by 98,000 in June

Private payrolls in the United States increased by 98,000 in June, Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) revealed in its report published on Wednesday. The figure came in below expectations.
New hirings were registered in enterprises of all sizes. Most people, 38,000, were hired in small establishments with between one and 19 employees, followed by large companies with over 500 workers, which reported 25,000 new workers. Small enterprises with between 20 and 49 employees added 15,000 jobs. Mid-sized establishments with between 50 and 249 employees hired 19,000 people. Mid-sized firms with between 250 and 499 employees registered 10,000 new workers.
Among sectors, most new jobs, 48,000, were added in education and health services, followed by trade, transportation, and utilities with 15,000 and financial activities with 14,000. Meanwhile, natural resources and mining saw 5,000 layovers.
