Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative longs edge higher

Precious metals speculators added to their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 24544 contracts in the data reported through June 16, 2026. This was a weekly gain of 2230 net contracts and pushed up net longs from near two and half year low.
