Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions edge higher

Precious metals speculators increased their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 23926 contracts in the data reported through June 2, 2026. This was a weekly rise of 1703 net contracts and pushed up net longs from around 28-month low.
