26-May-2026 | 09:14
WTI crude oil prices continue to slide near a three-week low on Tuesday morning in Asia amid hopes of a peace deal between US and Iran and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. However, President Trump reportedly cautioned that a collapse in talks could trigger fresh military attacks. Further, renewed supply concerns emerged after the United States forces conducted self-defense strikes in southern Iran on Monday. The counter is currently quoting at $91.44 per barrel, down over 5% on the day. Brent edged up 1.5% to trade at $97.88 at the time of writing.
