Commodities Buzz: Gold net speculative long positions ease slightly

Precious metals speculators slightly reduced their net long position in the Gold futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Gold futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 159833 contracts in the data reported through May 19, 2026, falling by 11789 contracts from the previous week.
