Economic Buzz: Japan Eco Watchers index slides near four-year low

A measure of the public assessment of the current situation of the Japanese economy eased in April to the lowest level in more than four years. The current conditions index of the Economy Watchers' Survey dropped to 40.8 in April from 42.2 in March. Household activity-related index also dipped 1.2 points to 40.5 in April.
