Base Metals Preview: Copper pauses after hitting three month high

08-May-2026 | 09:31
COMEX Copper futures are witnessing some moderation after sharp gains this week. The metal soared as US President Donald Trump noted great progress in talks with Iran. Copper moved sharply higher after breaking above $6 per pound and hit three month high. However, selling in US equities in overnight trades weighed on the prices and the red metal currently trades flat at $6.18 per pound.
