Economic Buzz: German GDP up by 0.3% in Q1

Germany's price, seasonally and calendar adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) observed quarterly growth of 0.3% in the first trimester of the year, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) said in its preliminary report issued on Thursday. Compared to the same period of 2025, the figure increased by 0.3%.

The document noted that both household and government final consumption expenditure were higher than in the final quarter of 2025. According to the report, exports also grew in the first quarter of 2026.
