Silver extends losses after sliding more than 6% last week, Gold weak as ewll

COMEX Silver futures saw sustained selling pressure to approach near two-week low. The metal currently trades at $75.5 per ounce, down more than 1% on the day amid supportive risk appetite in world equities though overall geopolitical sentiment remains cautious. Meanwhile, Chinese Silver inventories are soaring. The latest data from Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) showed that total inventories on warrant in the exchange stood at 689552 kg as on 24 April 2026, jumping 124690 kg compared to previous week and hitting four-month high. Silver lost around 6.6% in last week. MCX Silver futures are also down 0.70% at Rs 242920 per kg after hitting above Rs 245000 per kg mark in early moves. MCX Gold is also down 0.36% at Rs 152151 per 10 grams.
