MCX Evening Update: Gold adds steady gains even as global futures see max moves

MCX Gold futures are witnessing modest gains today as the metal moved up steadily despite lax cues from global markets. Indian Rupee fell above 94 per US dollar mark and boosted the local futures while COMEX Gold tested near two-week low. MCX Gold is currently trading at Rs 152284 per 10 grams, up 0.34% on the day. The counter dipped under Rs 151000 per 10 grams in early moves before finding a bottom and broke above Rs 152000 per 10 grams mark in late afternoon trades.
