Copper slips more than 1% as equities ease

COMEX Copper futures eased today after recording good gains in last session as worries over US-Iran war stayed in place. The red metal is currently trading at $6.05 per pound, down 1.28% on the day. Equities eased today. Asian shares eased amid a flare up in crude oil prices. China's Shanghai Composite index fell 0.32% while Hong Kong?s Hang Seng slumped 0.95%. Japan?s Nikkei average corrected 0.75%. European stocks saw subdued moves. UK?s FTSE100 index lost around 1%. Copper had rallied nearly 2% in last session as the US stocks traded higher, with all three major indexes posting solid gains. The S&P 500 rose 1.03% while the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.62%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.68%.
