MCX Evening Update: Precious metals well supported, Silver spikes more than 1%

MCX Gold futures are hovering at Rs 152850 per 10 grams, up 0.78% on the day after hitting a high around Rs 153700 per 10 grams in morning trades. Global cues are firm. MCX Silver is up 1.27% at Rs 247626 per kg. Indian Rupee fell to three-week low against the US dollar, keeping local bullion futures well supported.
