WTI Crude trades lower, OPEC to continue strengthening OPEC-EU Energy Dialogue

10-Apr-2026 | 18:10
WTI Crude oil is holding around $97.44 per barrel, down 0.44% on the day after impressive spike in last session. Oil failed to sustain as markets eyed US-Iran talks and a generally steady outlook towards supplies weighed on sentiments. Oil has tumbled heavily this week with a single day tumble of 17% recorded on 8 April. Meanwhile, the 16th High-Level Meeting of the Energy Dialogue between the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the European Union (EU) was held yesterday at the European Commission Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Discussions focused on the current oil and energy market outlook, including supply and demand dynamics, macroeconomic conditions, the evolving global energy mix and the need for balanced and realistic approaches to future energy pathways. OPEC reiterated its commitment to maintaining open and constructive dialogue and to continue strengthening cooperation within the framework of the OPEC-EU Energy Dialogue.
