Silver corrects sharply amid weak equities

COMEX Silver futures corrected today after hitting three-week high of $78 per ounce as profit selling emerged after recent gains. The metal currently trades down 1.70% at $74.11 per ounce. The US dollar index is stabilizing just under 99 mark and equities turned lower amid uncertainty about the US-Iran truce deal. Copper also fell sharply today and Gold is down half a percent. MCX Silver futures are currently trading down 1.33% at Rs 236739 per kg. The counter opened lower and witnessed sustained losses. Lows around Rs 235000-236000 per kg mark capped losses in an overall lax session.
