Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions off two-year low

Precious metals speculators added to their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 24673 contracts in the data reported through March 24, 2026. This was a weekly rise of 2792 net contracts and pulled up net longs from near two-year low.
