MCX Evening Update: Gold and Silver supported as INR falters

MCX Gold futures are holding steady though the counter has come off its early highs. The futures are currently trading at Rs 144733 per 10 grams, up 1.56% on the day. Lows around Rs 144000 per 10 grams are offering good support today. MCX Silver futures are trading at Rs 221732 per kg, up 0.85% on the day after topping out around Rs 228000 per kg mark. Weakness in INR -which tested all time low around 95 per US dollar is supporting the local futures as global bullion counters have slipped from their intraday highs.
