Currency Buzz: INR melts to fresh low above 94.60 per US dollar

The Indian Rupee fell further today, sliding well above 94 mark amid weakness in local equities and elevated crude oil prices. INR tumbled 68 paise to a fresh all-time low of 94.64 against the US dollar on Friday. Equities turned lower in Asia amid continued worries over the US-Iran conflict. Heavy sell-off in domestic equity markets and sustained FII outflows have been hurting the INR recently. On NSE, USD/INR futures spiked 0.69% to trade at 94.94 mark.
