Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions fall near two-year low

Precious metals speculators trimmed their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 21881 contracts in the data reported through March 17, 2026. This was a weekly fall of 2697 net contracts and pulled down net longs near two-year low.
