Copper eases from four-week high, European markets tank

COMEX Copper futures pulled back a bit from four-week highs. Markets eyed a volatile global scenario and elevated LME Copper inventories also weighed on sentiments. COMEX Copper futures are currently trading at $6.05 per pound, down 0.12% on the day. On MCX, Copper futures are trading at Rs 1227 per kg, up 0.38% on the day as weakness in Indian Rupee played a part in keeping the metal elevated. Meanwhile, Asian markets mostly fell on geopolitical worries though China's Shanghai Composite index edged up 0.47%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index lost 2.14% while Japan?s Nikkei average fell 1.35%. European stocks lost heavily on Monday. German DAX melted more than 2%. The US stocks ended in red on Friday. The Dow lost 1.1%, the Nasdaq slipped 0.9% and the S&P 500 fell 0.4%.
