Natural Gas bounces 5% after tanking 34% in Feb-26
02-Mar-2026 | 15:16
Natural Gas futures soared today, rising in tune with the massive spike in crude oil prices. Energy counter zoomed higher as the United States and Israel launched coordinated military strikes against Iran on Saturday. This has the potential to turn into a major escalation of conflict in the Middle East that could impact deliveries of oil and natural gas worldwide. For US Natural Gas, this news acted as a major catalyst after a 34% crash in the prices in February 2025. The counter is five-year low and currently trades at $3 per mmbtu, up 5.18% on the day. This the highest level in last one-week for the futures. MCX Natural Gas futures are trading at Rs 276.50 per mmbtu, up 5.41% on the day after hitting highs above Rs 278 per mmbtu.
