Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions slide

Precious metals speculators trimmed their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 22260 contracts in the data reported through February 24, 2026. This was a weekly drop of 1743 net contracts and kept net longs at one-year low.
