Economic Buzz: German GDP grows 0.3% in Q4

Germany's gross domestic product (GDP) adjusted for price, season and calendar stood at 0.3% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the previous three-month period, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis said in its final report released on Wednesday, confirming the preliminary figure.

On an annual basis, the price-and-calendar-adjusted figure rose by 0.4%. The report also stated that in the European Union as a whole, economic output increased to a similar extent as in Germany. Government final consumption expenditure was up 1.1% annually for the quarter, while household final consumption expenditure grew 4.4%, and employment went down by 0.1%.
