MCX Morning Wrap: Copper holds above Rs 1300 per kg, Nickel swells around 3%

Base metals stayed well supported today. MCX January 2026 Copper futures are trading at Rs 1305.85 per kg, up 1.27% on the day. The counter broke above Rs 1300 per kg mark in early moves but and marked steady gains. MCX Aluminum futures added 0.54% to trade at Rs 318.20 per kg. MCX Zinc futures also rose 0.54% to trade at Rs 34.50 per kg. MCX Lead futures moved up 0.26% on the day to trade at Rs 191.90 per kg. Nickel futures saw excellent upmove and spiked 2.78% to trade at Rs 1675 per kg as selling intensified after hitting a high around Rs 1680 per kg mark.
