Precious Metals Preview: Gold holds above $4600 per ounce mark

COMEX Gold eased a little today but stayed well above $4600 per ounce mark. The metal continues to focus on geopolitical uncertainty. Prices came off record high after the US President Donald Trump signaled that he might not attack Iran. The counter currently quotes at $4621 per ounce, down 0.30% on the day. MCX Gold futures closed at Rs 143200 per 10 grams, up 0.67% on the day and will likely see a steady open in evening trades. The US dollar index is hovering around 99 mark, consolidating near six week high.
