Eurozone inflation accelerated as initially estimated in September to the highest level in five months, the latest estimate from Eurostat showed on Friday. Inflation rose to 2.2 percent in September from 2.0 percent in August. That was in line with the flash data published on October 1. Core inflation, which excludes prices of food and energy, also edged up slightly to 2.4 percent in September from 2.3 percent in August.
