Agri Buzz: Kharif oilseeds yields remain encouraging though overall availability may be under pressure

Solvent Extractors Association or SEA has stated in a latest update that this year?s monsoon has been generally favourable, 8% above normal, supporting kharif oilseed cultivation across major regions. While some oilseeds like groundnut have maintained stable production, acreage for soybean and cotton has reduced as farmers have shifted to maize in certain areas. These trends indicate that while yields remain encouraging, overall oilseed availability may be under pressure. SEA will continue to engage with stakeholders and policymakers to ensure a stable supply, support farmers, and maintain industry resilience.
