Germany?s consumer price inflation rose to 2.4% in September 2025, up from 2.2% in August, marking the fastest pace this year. Goods inflation ticked up slightly to 1.4%, while energy prices fell at a slower rate of 0.7%. Services costs surged 3.4%, led by transport and social services. Core inflation, excluding food and energy, edged up to 2.8%. On a monthly basis, prices rose 0.2%, while the EU-harmonised inflation rate matched at 2.4%, also up 0.2% from August.
