World Gold Council or WGC stated today that global gold ETFs recorded their largest monthly inflow in September (US$17 billion), resulting in the strongest quarter on record of US$26 billion. Total AUM reached another high of US$472 billion and collective holdings rose to 3,838 tonnes. North America (US$10.6 billion) and Europe (US$4.4 billion) dominated global inflows during the month. Followed by Asia (US$2.1 billion) and other regions (US$175 million). Gold market trading volumes surged alongside the gold price, averaging US$388 billion per day in September.
