Copper lingers near Rs 920 per kg on MCX

COMEX Copper futures zoomed up yesterday amid firm cues from US equities and a recent drop in LME Copper inventories. The red metal currently trades at $4.71 per pound, almost unchanged on the day and not very far from six-week top. On MCX, Copper futures are at Rs 919.50 per kg, down 0.16% on the day. Meanwhile, in Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index closed flat. Hong Kong's Hang Seng ended marginally lower. Japan?s Nikkei index rose 0.30% to hit a record high. European stocks saw lax moves but stayed supported overall. US stocks continued their upward move and the Nasdaq and the S&P 500 hit new record closing highs in last session. Positive comments from President Donald Trump about trade talks between US and China boosted sentiments.
