Copper lingers around one-week high

COMEX Copper futures steadied around one-week high of $4.60 per pound amid mostly positive equities. Copper is up more than 1% this week so far. In Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index soared 1.65%, adding to recent gains. Hong Kong's Hang Seng eased 0.43%. Japanese NIKKEI index rallied 1.20% to hit new record high. European stocks were cautious as ECB interest rate decision was in the spotlight. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq pulled back well off their best levels ended at new record closing highs. The Dow eased 0.5% though.
