Incorporated on 01.03.1995 as a public limited company in the name and style of Datanet Corporation Limited, the Company's name was changed to Datanet Systems Limited to reflect the activities of workflow automation systems and computer telephony integration.

The Company has been promoted by Dr. A Prabhakar, Hari Mohan Sharma and H K Nanjunda Swamy and currently has 64 professionals, of whom 50 are graduates and post graduates in electronics, telecommunications and computer science.

The Company is strategic emphasissed on developing technologies and solutions for the conduct of commercial transactions on communication networks'. Datanet has specialised in two technologies viz. Business Process Automation Software (BPAS) and Computer Telephony Integration (CTI). The Company has successfully engineered expertise in developing smart card based solutions for the banking sector and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) based security systems.

The Company's current project is for the expansion of existing activities and augmentation of working capital, with no new products being planned.

The Company's main software BPAS (Business Process Automation Software) is copyrighted in the names of Dr A Prabhakar, H Vishweswara and M K Seshadri.

The company has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary company namely 'Datanet eCommerce Services Ltd.'.
