The Company was originally incorporated with the Registrar of Companies on 20th October 1994 as Stellar Capital Services Private Limited (SCSPL) with registration no. 062247. Pursuant to shareholder`s resolution dated June 27, 2013, it was converted into a Public Limited Company and the name was changed to Stellar Capital Services Limited (SCSL). A fresh certificate of Incorporation consequent to such change of name was issued by the Registrar of Companies, Delhi, dated 1 Aug 2013.

The company is a NBFC registered with the RBI to carry out NBFC activities under Section 451A of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 bearing Registration No. B. 14.02359 dated 23-03-2001. The company operate as a Non Deposit taking Non Banking Finance Company engaged primarily in the business of advancing loans and investing/trading in securities.
