Sona BLW Precision Forgings is engaged in designing, manufacturing and supplying engineered automotive systems and components such as differential assemblies, gears, conventional and micro-hybrid motors, BSG systems and EV Traction motors across all vehicle categories. ·_x000D_ _x000D_ The company was incorporated as Sona Okegawa Precision Forgings Ltd in 1995, a JV with Mitsubishi Metal Corporation Limited. It started production of differential bevel gears at its first plant in Gurugram, Haryana, in 1998._x000D_ _x000D_ In 2005, the company launched a manufacturing plant in Pune, Maharashtra, India. In addition, Sona Autocomp Holding Private Limited became a majority shareholder in the company. In 2013, the company changed its name to  “Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited". It launched its final assembly and finishing plant in Tecumseh, MI, USA, during the same year._x000D_ _x000D_ In 2017, it commenced operations at two new plants, Unit II & Unit III, located in Gurugram, Haryana, India. The company acquired Comstar Entities in 2019 and started operations at its new differential assembly plant located in Manesar, Haryana, during the same year.
