About Rossari Biotech Ltd

Rossari Biotech is the leading manufacturer of textile speciality chemicals in India. The company came into existence as in 2003. During 2006-2008, the company established a large-scale manufacturing facility at Silvassa. It also diversified its business into Animal Health & Nutrition (AHN) and Construction Chemicals during the same period. During 2009-2011, it commenced supplying Animal Health and Nutrition (AHN) products to Zoetis, a leading producer of medicine and vaccines for pets and livestock. The company continued its business growth and launched the HPPC (Home, Personal Care and  Performance Chemicals) division with an initial core priority on laundry and industrial cleaning chemicals from 2013-2015. It established a joint venture with Buzil-Werk Wagner, a German company, during the same period.  From 2016 to 2019, the company gained complete control of Lozalo International, a prominent branded veterinary cosmetic products company. In addition, the company’s turnover crossed ₹500 crore during the same time period. In 2020, it commissioned the Dahej project and made a strategic entry into into e-commerce by listing HPPC products on the Amazon platform.

Business Segments

  1. Home, Personal Care and Performance Chemicals:Under this segment, the organization manufactures a whole range of products that find application in the Home and personal Care formulations, especially in the laundry and cleaning space. The organization’s products include Soaps and Detergents, Pulp and Paper, etc.
  2. Textile Specialty Chemicals:This segment manufactures eco-friendly, sustainable chemical solutions to customers, replacing the highly polluting chemicals.
  3. Animal Health and Nutrition:Under this segment, it supplies poultry feed supplements and additives, pet grooming, and pet treats, including for weaning, infants, and adult pets, resulting in over 100 products.
Subsidiaries As of March 31, 2023, the company had the following subsidiaries:
  • Buzil Rossari Private Limited:It is a wholly-owned subsidiary which is engaged in delivering cleaning, hygiene and disinfection solutions for various industries
  • Rossari Consumer Products Private Limited:This wholly-owned subsidiary manufactures a whole range of products used in HPPC, especially in the laundry and cleaning space.
  • Unitop Chemicals Private Limited:Rossari holds an 80% stake in Unitop Chemicals Private Limited. It is involved in the manufacturing of surfactants and speciality chemicals.
  • Tristar Intermediates Private Limited:It is a wholly owned subsidiary that manufactures perfumery chemicals, speciality chemicals, dye intermediates, and high-tech distillation facilities.

Key Personnel

Sunil Chari, Managing Director Sunil Chari is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of the company. He has a rich experience of over 30 years in textiles and ancillary chemicals. He has worked in a variety of textile processing and dyestuff industries before founding Rossari Biotech Limited. He holds a bachelor’s degree in arts from the Kakatiya University. He also holds a diploma in technical and applied chemistry from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute (VJTI).
