_x000D_ Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) is a Public Sector company. It was incorporated on October 23, 1989, to set up extra-high voltage alternating current and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines. The company was listed on BSE and NSE in 2007. The Government of India holds a 51.34% stake in the company, and Institutional Investors and the public hold the balance._x000D_ _x000D_ In 2020, the company commissioned ± 800 kV Champa – Kurukshetra HVDC station Bipole-II. Power Grid also finished commissioning 11 Renewable Energy Management Centres (REMCs) for renewable energy integration for Govt. of India. In 2022, the company implemented 400KV, D/C, Jeerat (New) - Subhasgram (PM-JTL-TBCB) (214 CKM), which was commissioned in August 2022._x000D_

• Powergrid Unchahar Transmission Limited (PUTL): It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Powergrid. It was acquired by the company in 2014.
