Incorporated on January 6, 1995 as Lohia Securities Private Limited, its name was subsequently changed to Lohia Securities Ltd. The Company was originally promoted by Harikishan Lohia and later Mahesh Bajaj, Rajesh Bajaj & Sudhir Kumar Jain were inducted as co-promoters of the Company. The Company is an active corporate member of National Stock Exchange of India Limited, Calcutta Stock Exchange Association Limited & OTCEI. The Company has also recently obtained the permission from NSE to become both Clearing and Trading Member of the Futures and Options Derivative segment of the Exchange. The Company has also received necessary approvals from NSDL to act as Depository Participant. The Company has already commenced its trading in the derivative segment of Futures and Options market of NSE. The proposed project of the Company shall be located at Calcutta. The Company proposes to acquire an Office in Calcutta for carrying out on its increased operations. During the year 2000-2001 the company started its own depository segment in a full fledged manner after obtaining registration from National Securities Depository Ltd. as well as Central Depository Services(India) Ltd.The company has also launched its own website www.lohiasecurities.com. The company has also plans to start internet based trading in the near future.Even though the company had started the Derivatives trading during the last year,the segment could not make substantial contribution.
