Incorporated in 1962, GMM Pfaudler Limited (GMMPL) is involved in the manufacturing of corrosion-resistant glass-lined equipment. In 1962, GMM Pfaudler Limited was initially established as a private entity as Gujarat Machinery Manufacturers. Later, the company transformed into a public company in 1963 and was listed on BSE and NSE. In 1973, Pfaudler manufactured the chemical industry’s first Glasteel reactor with a half-pipe jacket. In 1987, Pfaudler Inc., USA, became a 40% equity subscriber, establishing a joint venture. Subsequently, in 1999, Pfaudler Inc. increased its stake to 51%, and the company's name was changed to GMM Pfaudler Limited. In 2003, the company invented C-Baffle, which was followed by another invention, Anti Static Glass (ASG) in 2004 and the Multi Baffling system for glass-lined reactors in 2005. In 2009, they invented the Abrasion Resistant Glass (ARG) and in 2011, they developed the manufacturing capabilities for Eldon in Suzhou, China. In 2014, Pfaudler invented the CryCo-Lock connection, a conductive glass-to-glass connection for fully glassed mixing systems integrity control. In 2021, the company marked a significant milestone as GMM Pfaudler successfully concluded the acquisition of a majority stake in the global business of the Pfaudler Group.
