Engineers India Ltd (EIL) is mainly engaged in providing engineering consultancy and EPC services focused on the oil & gas and petrochemical industries. The company was incorporated in 1965, and the Government of India owns it and operates under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG). The same year, EIL commenced work in the refineries segment with the Madras Refinery Project. In 1997, the company achieved Mini Ratna status and was listed on BSE and NSE in the same year after a successful IPO._x000D_ _x000D_ In 2006, the company started services in sub-surface crude oil storage. The company diversified its business into water and fertiliser projects in overseas locations such as Bangladesh and Indonesia during 2011-2012. The company achieved Navratna status in 2014.
