The company is engaged in the manufacturing functionally critical specialty chemicals such as Performance Chemicals (MEHQ, BHA, and AP), Pharmaceutical Intermediates (Guaiacol and DCC), and FMCG Chemicals (4-MAP and Anisole). It came into existence as in 2003 as Sri Distikemi Private Limited. After 3 years of incorporation (2006), the company changed its name to ‘Clean Science and Technology Private Limited” in line with its vision. In 2009, the company started manufacturing MEHQ and Guaiacol, followed by manufacturing of 4 MAP in 2011 and BHA in 2014. Clean Science continued its business growth and made a strategic entry into into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Government of Maharashtra in 2016. As per the MOU, the Maharashtra government facilitated the company for obtaining necessary permissions/ registrations/ approvals/ clearances/ fiscal incentives from the concerned departments to enable investment of ₹807.40 million in Maharashtra in a time-bound manner. During the subsequent year (2017), it started manufacturing Anisole and commenced manufacturing AP in 2019. In 2021, the company was listed on the stock exchanges (NSE & BSE) after a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO). During the same year, it successfully developed key products in the HALs series.

• Performance Chemicals:The organization is engaged in the manufacturing of performance chemicals such as Monomethyl Ether of Hydroquinone (MEHQ ), Butylated Hydroxy Anisole (BHA), Hindered Amine Light Stabilisers (HALS), etc. During FY 2023, the organization generated a contribution of ~69% of its overall revenue.
• Pharma and Agro Intermediates:It engaged in the manufacturing of Guaiacol, Dicyclohexyl Carbodiimide (DCC) and Para Benzoquinone (p-BQ ). The organization generated ~19% revenue in FY 2023.
• FMCG Chemicals:Clean Science is involved in the manufacturing of 4-Methoxy Acetophenone (4-MAP) and Anisole under this enterprise segment. This segment contributed 11% of revenue to the overall enterprise.

Key Personnel

Ashok Ramnarayan Boob, Promoter, Managing Director Ashok Ramnarayan Boob is one of the promoters and managing director of the company. He is a Chemical Engineer from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT). He is in charge of project implementation, engineering, production, and finance. His proficiency in applying creative technical solutions in production allows him to effectively commercialise the success attained in R&D labs to plant scale. His tenure in the chemical sector spans over 25 years, during which he served as an Executive Director of Mangalam Drugs and Organics Limited till 2004.
