It is a top technology leader and a major player in the Indian storage battery industry, specialising in lead-acid batteries for automotive and industrial use. It diversified its business operations into automotive batteries in 1997 by signing a JV with Johnson Controls Inc. In 2008, it launched the Amaron Probike Rider, the first AGM battery for two-wheelers.
