History of ACC Limited

_x000D_ Incorporated in 1936 as Associated Cement Companies Limited, ACC Limited manufactures different types of cement, such as Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), Portland Slag Cement (PSC), Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC), and Composite Cement and Ready Mix Concrete (RMX). In 1982, the company commissioned its first 1 MTPA plant in Wadi, Karnataka. The company launched its IPO in 1996 and is listed on the NSE and BSE. _x000D_ _x000D_ The company was established by 4 different companies: Tata, Khataus, Killick Nixon, and F E Dinshaw. From 1999 to 2000, the Tata Group sold their complete stake in ACC Limited to Ambuja Cement Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd (GACL). In 2005, the Holcim Group of Switzerland entered a strategic alliance with the Ambuja Group, and simultaneously, Ambuja Cements India Ltd’s (ACIL) stake in ACC Limited was increased. In 2022, Adani Group acquired Holcim’s stake of 54.5% in ACC Limited. _x000D_ _x000D_ As of March 2023, they have 16 cement plants, more than 85 RMX plants and 26 offices in India. Their cement and RMX plants are in various regions, including Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, etc. The company has 36.05 MTPA Installed cement manufacturing capacity and 56,943 channel partners.
